Thing #15--Week 6 Tagging, Folksonomies & Technorati

After reading several of the perspectives from the OCLC newsletter, Library 2.0 means several things. It means that libraries need to let go of the past and focus on the present and try to prepare for the future. It also refers to having the kind of attitude that puts the user's needs at the forefront. Above all, I think it means that libraries need to embrace change and deal with it in order to provide the best services they can to their users. This is the same for any kind of library, be it a city public library or an elementary school library.
